Windows 10: Working with Google Drive

After the last windows update, I cannot open files directly from my Desktop Google Drive. Instead, MS Windows opens an appropriate app as MS Office or Adobe PDF reader and then warns:If I copy the same file to a local folder Documents on C, for example - then no problem, the file opens.It seems to be sharing permissions issues or other security-related.It is nothing to do with MS Office specifically so please, do not answer with the links of "fix Office" stuff.Thank a lotEDIT: Moved from Microsoft 365 and Office / Unknown/other / Windows 10 / Microsoft 365 Family

1. Navigate to C:\ Program Files (x86)\google\googledrivesync.exe
   OR
   
2. Go to Start > Computer > Local Disk (C).
   
3. Look for Program Files and open.
   
4. Then navigate to Google > Drive.
   
5. Double click on the googledrivesync.exe file and check.

problem uninstalling google chrome

Hi,

Since you already uninstalled Google Chrome using the Programs and Features, Google notifications may still be running in the background processes. We suggest that you follow these steps on how to end the Google Chrome process:

• On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
• Select Task Manager.
• Under Processes, locate Google Notifications or Google Chrome.
• Right click on them and select End Task.
• Double check under Programs and Features if Google Chrome is completely gone.
