Windows 10: Would increasing "the size of text, app and ..." decrease quality?

I have a 4k TV connected to my computer and it gets really really hard to see or read anything on the 4k TV from anywhere other than a very close distance. To fix that I have used the windows function of increased the size of text, apps and other items to %200.
My question is if that does decrease the quality of a high media (ex: 4k movies) thats being played via VLC player or similar apps? For me its very difficult to assess by eyes, but I like to find out if its proven that the windows function does in fact decreases the quality?

Follow the steps to change the font size:

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.

Need help to increase size of icons and text in many apps

I may not understand what you need but if you hold the cntl key down and move the wheel on your mouse you can increase and decrease the size of print.

 

Menu - increase text size


Hi there

I've managed to increase text sizes on most things but the Menu has very small text (It seems ALL I.T people have very good eyesight - on a large monitor I find the standard text size FAR to small to use properly !!).

Anybody know how to increase text size of the Menu !! Apps etc are fine.

Also BTW Custom toolbars STILL work if you need them.
