  1. Would like to know how to set up standard windows 10 right click menu

I have a customer's new laptop here in the shop I work at -- I'm now, so I'm still trying to learn things.

It's dell Inspiron 11 3500 series with windows 10 home on it.

I would like to ask how to get the standard windows 10 menu to appear if one right clicks on the windows icon -- I'm not sure if it's the same as in windows 10 pro, which is what our shop computers use.

On this particular dell laptop when I right click on the windows icon a get a small dialog box that says classic start menu. On the windows 10 pro version I get a long menu that, for instance, has "file explorer" as one of the options, along with "Device Manager," "Program Features," etc.

I could have sworn that this customer had such when he brought it in, but I had to do some work on the machine regarding unwanted programs, malware removal, etc, and generally slow performance.

I've been looking around trying to see how to restore the standard windows right click menu, but can't seem to find it. Can anyone give me some help/advice?

    :)

Set up a standard look and feel for each PC in a classroom.

I work for a community college and we like to set up all of our classroom computers with a standard look and feel.

We install programs and make changes to the desktop, start menu and task bar. This provides each person who uses the classroom a standard interface. The instructor knows how there students will access the applications they will be using on the computer.

We plan on migrating to Windows 10 this summer.

What is the best way for us to set up the default profile so it will contain the standard set up I described? Then when each student logs into the computer they will receive this standard profile.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  3. i would like to know how to transfer windows movie maker from windows 7 to windows 10.

    "Transfer", no.

Install, maybe - but it is UNSUPPORTED.

Read this, go to "Jsssssssss" reply and choose the language you want and be patient for the download, install it. You should be able to install the Movie Maker software. Might have to right-click
and run in compatibility mode to get it to install, do not recall.

Your customer appears to have installed Classic Shell (or similar). You should be able to still use to the standard 'Start'. See...

Hi, just to add to this:
    a. rt click the start button, click exit, closes Classic Shell
    b. Windows key + X = rt click the default start button
    c. With Classic Shell running, SHIFT + Windows key launches Win 10's start menu.
