Even if smb service doesn't work in outside, Though I'm concerning activated smb service with mounted, itself make such a problem in security, which provide ways to intrude to my window and nas.I've encountered many people who disconnect mounted netwrok drive to prevent ransomware or etcCan I ask you with this even webdav or other network protocols? Could they make problem in this case as well?

How to solve problems with accessing, discovering and connecting to NAS with SMB connection from Windows 10

I am experiencing difficulties with accessing, discovering and connecting to my NAS with SMB connection from Windows 10.

I have tried most of the solutions suggest on the Web, but avail, none of them worked.

    • Enabling SMB v2 and restarting
    • Checking SMB v1 in Windows components is ticked on
    • Etc.
It seems that Microsoft has broken something though their patches

If anyone can supply me with a permanent/ final fix,
not workaround, please post it here.

\\URL is not accessible. You may not have permission to use the network resource. Cannot access NAS via SMB.

This issue is on a Dell XPS 13 9380 running Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2. After some issues I decided I needed to reset this PC. After doing so, this laptop can no longer access my Synology NAS (DS220+) by SMB. It can access by using either the Edge or the Chrome browser. I have set up credentials for the NAS on the laptop using both the NAS' address and network name. The laptop is able to ping the NAS and it does "see" the NAS. It just cannot map a drive on the NAS by SMB. I have tried the modifications to the Registry for the LSA as suggested elsewhere on this forum.

Interestingly, I also have an Intel NUC running the exact same version of Windows 11 Pro and it accesses the same NAS perfectly.

I have contacted Synology and followed their recommendations for this issue with the NAS. Still no fix.

The ability to access the NAS by SMB is very important. Without that it is necessary to download each file that I need to work on to the laptop using the browser as opposed to just logging on and working directly as I have always done in the past.

Thank you. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
