    WP sync client draining battery


    I cant find anything online what "WP sync client" is, but it is draining battery on my Venue 8 Pro. I have already tried to disable all tiles, and all background tasks. I dont have any phone sync app installed or anything. But still "powercfg sleepstudy" shows "WP sync client" as the main drain source.

    Hi ,



    It is good to see that I am not the only person annoyed with the lack of functionality in the WP calendar.

    There is plenty of room for improvement, to be polite. WP sync client draining battery ;)



    The calendar also failed to sync an event some years into the future from the phone to the cloud when I tried it. I am not sure yet if this is a general limitation, or an error on my Microsoft account or the phone? (Beware if testing, sync failures drain
    the battery fast, without indication that something is wrong)

    WP sync client draining battery

    I think the problem is related to OneDrive. I have set it to dont start with Windows, and closed it and now the drain seems to be to 0.6% per hour. Aynone know how to fix this with OneDrive still running?
