    Write Protected .....How do I remove write protection from HP pen drive 16gb


    I want to delete the files and format the drive from my HP pen drive but it keeps saying "write protected" I have used Diskpart to change Readonly but it still says "write protected.. Please help me solve this problemRolyTK

    Hello everyone,

    I am having a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8 GB Pen Drive. It worked nicely for 2 years and then it suddenly shows the error message when I try to format the drive: The disk is Write Protected. I tries several ways:

    • Registry editor (StorageDevicePolicies)
    • Command Prompt
    • Different tools etc.
    I couldn't remove the write protection. Please help me on this topic.

    cannot remove write protection from pen drive

    hi,

    I am using a HP pen drive which I have bought recently and it just worked fine but suddenly some how it went into write-protection and I wasn't able to format it I tried a lot of ways I tried "DISKPART" , even tried to check on "Registry" in registry
    it seems like write protection is turned of and in other mediums like when I trued to format or when I checked DISKPART and other ways it throws an error saying the disk is write protected help me to solve this issue ASAP

    Write Protection Removal

    My laptop did not wake up from sleep. The drive where Windows is installed is locked. The volume is Write-Protected. Chkdsk cannot run to fix the drive. How can the drive be not write-protected or remove the write-protection?
