  3. DVD player unable to play media files from computer.

    Hello Chin,

We regret form the inconvenience. Let me assist you.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to work through the steps below to identify the cause of the problem.

    The problem could lie with:

    • The connector cables/connections - are they securely fastened? Are they in the right place? Are all the electrical sockets in good working order?
    • The DVD disc itself - Check if a different DVD works
    • The DVD Player's optical reader (the lens which 'reads' the data from DVDs)

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if decreasing the speed of your burner while writing the disk help.

Hope the above information holds good.

    Thank You.

How to Restore Drive Tools Recording Speed?

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Ideally, the write speed is automatically determined by the system based on the type of CD/DVD that is used. However, please let us know:

    • What is the make and model of your computer and DVD drive?
    • Do you have any other CD/DVD write applications installed on your computer?
    • Are you using the same brand of DVDs that you used before?
    • If you are using any alternate burn application, do you see the same speed limitation?

However, if you are using the same brand of DVDs and trying to burn the same type of data and you are seeing variable write speed, you can try a few steps and check.

We would suggest you to update the driver, refer this article:
    Update drivers in Windows 10

Please refer the method 4, 5 and 6 from this article:
Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs
