Windows 10: Writing in Start menu not possible. Icon in task bar cannot be right clicked.

Hello, I just updated a slightly older system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Everything has worked so far. But now I have the problem that I can not write in the start menu. If I log off and log on again, then start typing in the start menu for example "Edg..." then the start menu goes completely black. In addition, I can click in the taskbar on the individual icons nothing right. More precisely, I can only right click once, a second time does not work. But if I log out and log in again, it works again.What I have already tried:System scan: 'sfc /scannow' and 'dism /online /cleanup-image /res

Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.

Missing Right Click Menu Test in Task Bar


After a while text can start to not appear in right click menus from the task bar. It seems similar to the other graphic bugs like missing icons from the start menu.

  You can try these steps:
  

• • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
  • Click File > Run New Task
  • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  • Type Powershell
  • Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
    
    $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  • Close the Powershell window
  • Reboot

  Clicking on the File Explorer icon (task bar) does nothing. Right click does nothing.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the SFC scan and check if it helps.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files: (Windows Logo Key + X and then click on Command Prompt).

  Several apps (Mozilla Thunderbird, Norton 360 specifically, have not been able to have been updated or re-installed. Norton support, using remote desktop app, gave up after 4+ hours of work today.
