Windows 10: Wrong address input for Paypal Account to Purchase windows 11

I have downloaded Windows 11 and am operating under Parallels. I am trying to activate using my PayPal Account. I initially input the wrong address and now I am unable to change the information. Unsure why this is happening. I would appreciate any assistance you are able to provide.

I discovered something reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally useful this evening (probably not the first person who did so but....)



I had my WP8 set to Region US and was able to purchase apps like I used to. Always paid by CC without looking at changing the payment methods.



Just for the sake of playing around, I changed the Phone Region to Ireland and attempted another purchase.



Now, I got the following results:



1. Prices were displayed in Euro

2. My CC that was attached to my account was not recognized and I have been asked to add a payment methods

3. I clicked on Add Payment Methods and to my surprise got the Option to add a PayPal account

4. Now, I added a German Paypal account to an US WLID with an Irish Billing Address (weird constellation but it was accepted) and proceeded with the purchase and guess what... it went through!!!!!!

5. Changed the phone region back to US with the result that my PayPal Account was not longer recognized and I had to add it again which I did and it was accepted again!

6. Then, I deleted the App I just purchased with the Irish Region/Account and reinstalled it without having to pay again.



So, long story short... you are now able to use PayPal to purchase Apps (to me that is a biiiiiiig massive step in the right direction) AND more importantly, if you live outside the US and want to get an App for a cheaper price, simply change your phone
region to US and pay in US Dollar. That means (depending on the exchange rate) you can save approx. 25% on each App purchase since 4€ are defo more than 4$.



However, you are still unable to purchase Movies once your IP address does not match the country your WLID is set to and the Musicpass still access only the Marketplace that your account is linked with and not based on the Region your phone is set to (although
that is different for apps).

App Purchase with PayPal

While the options not on the phone I've noticed that I can purchase with PayPal from Marketplace.WindowsPhone.com. I purchased a Windows Phone 7.x application, though right now I only have Windows Phone 8 hardware on my account. It may be worth some one with
WP7.x trying to do a purchase from the desktop's browser to see if PayPal is presented there.

 

Problems paying with paypal on the microsoft store.

This issue might be caused by incorrect account configuration. We'd like to know if you've already added your Paypal account in your Microsoft account as a payment option. If not, kindly follow the steps below to add your Paypal account:

• Sign in to your
  Payment options.
• Select Add payment option.
• Fill in the required fields, then select Next. If you don't see any more prompts, you're done.
• Try purchasing in the Store.
