  3. wrong colors after reinstaling windows

Hi, Fox. I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem, and I hope I can assist you to find a satisfactory solution.

I'll leave a step-by-step guide below to check all the settings:

    1. Check and Update Graphics Drivers

First, ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incorrect drivers can cause color and brightness issues.

    Update via Device Manager:

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

    Expand Display adapters.

Right-click your graphics card and select Update driver.

Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

    Update via Manufacturer’s Website:

Identify your graphics card (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel).

Visit the official website of the manufacturer.

Download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card.

    2. Calibrate Your Display

Windows has a built-in tool for calibrating your display.

    Open Display Calibration Tool:

Press Win + R, type dccw, and press Enter.

Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your display.

    3. Adjust Monitor Settings

Each monitor has its own set of color settings accessible via its on-screen display (OSD).

    Dell S2419H:

Use the monitor buttons to access the OSD menu.

Adjust brightness, contrast, and color settings to your preference.

    ASUS VG279:

Use the monitor buttons to access the OSD menu.

Adjust brightness, contrast, and color settings. Also, check for preset modes (e.g., sRGB, Standard, Movie) and try different ones.

    4. Ensure Windows Color Profile is Correct

Make sure Windows is using the correct color profile for your monitors.

    Open Color Management:

Press Win + R, type colorcpl, and press Enter.

    Set Color Profile:

Select the monitor from the Device dropdown.

Check the box Use my settings for this device.

If no profile is listed, click Add... and select a suitable color profile for your monitor.

    5. Check for Software Interference

Ensure no software is interfering with your color settings.

    Disable Night Light:

Go to Settings > System > Display.

Ensure Night light is turned off.

    Check Third-Party Software:

Some third-party software (like f.lux or certain GPU utilities) can alter color settings. Disable or uninstall these programs to see if it resolves the issue.

    6. Activate Windows

If your Windows is not activated, some personalization settings might be restricted. Ensure your Windows 11 is activated.

    Open Activation Settings:

Go to Settings > System > Activation.

    Activate Windows:

Enter a valid product key if prompted.

    7. Check Monitor Connections

Ensure that your monitors are properly connected and that cables are in good condition.

    Check Cables:

Ensure HDMI/DisplayPort cables are securely connected.

Try using different cables to rule out any issues with the current ones.

    Switch Ports:

If your graphics card has multiple ports, try connecting your monitors to different ports.
