Windows 10: Wrong IP address

My computer for the last year keeps getting the wrong ip address. This can be fixed most of the time by restarting my computer, but it is weird how it keeps thinking I'm on the other side of the country. So when I go on other applications, they think I'm using a VPN and deny me access. I renewed my ipcconfig, flushed out the dns cache among other solutions from other posts, but it isn't working. Please help!! Also using an ethernet cable which my computer says Network 3 has no internet access but anchorfreee 381 has access. I'm confused by the wording

Wrong IP address

Hi JinwooJB,

You might want to Renew your IP address.

Step 1:

Right-click Windows key then select Command Prompt (Administrator much better)

Step 2:

On Command Prompt, enter “ipconfig/release” then press (Enter) to release your computer’s current IP Address.

You will see that the Ethernet adapter section has no numerical values.

Step 3:

Enter “ipconfig/renew” then press (Enter) to renew your computer’s IP Address.

Finding IP address

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to find printer’s IP address:

1. Type Devices and Printers in the Windows search bar.
   
2. Select on the printer and click on
   Manage.
   
3. Click on the Ports tab.
   You will be able to find printer’s IP address under the ‘Ports’ tab.
   

Few printers also have a “Test print” option on the printer. When you print a test page from network printer, the page shows the IP address along with other details.

Note: If it is set on DHCP mode the IP address will constantly change.
The IP address is assigned automatically by your router using a protocol called DHCP.

IP Address.

Hello,

I can not find my IP Address.

Also,I can not find the Ethernet Connection on my Taskbar.

I have found my Internet Access icon on my Taskbar.

Please list the steps needed to find my IP Address.

I found "Network & Internet",in "Setting",

I then found a link,"Finding my IP Address,(Under "Have a Question?")

But,this link did not help me find my IP Address.
