Windows 10: Wrong location in Maps

[COLOR=rgba0, 0, 0, 1]Last year I noticed that whenever I openMaps on my PC, my precise location is shown as an address I had 10 yearsago. All the PCs in my house showed this address in Maps as well even ones that did not have my Microsoft account signed in. I didsome research and found that Microsoft and Google keep data about yourlocation and associate it with your wireless SSID. If you move, theinformation may not be updated. I was advised to add [/COLOR][COLOR=var--black-800]_optout [/COLOR]to remove my SSID from Microsoftlocation services. I changed the name for a week, reverted to the oldwifi name, and BAM! problem solved on all but one of my home PCs.



On the remaining PC the one that I'm signed into with my Microsoft account, Maps still shows theaddress from 10 years ago, I've checked my address on my Microsoft accountmultiple times as well. It shows as my current address. A week orso ago, I thought I'd install Maps on my Xbox One X for kicks and giggles tosee where it said I was. It says I'm at the old address. Doesanyone have any idea what is happening to my account? Why does it keep saying I'm at my old address?

  and click on Location privacy settings.
• Here you can enable/disable the Location.
• You may try to Enable/Disable the Maps app to use the
  location or not from the apps list.

Windows 10 maps has my location wrong

In order for the map to work again on your Windows 10 device, you need to make sure that the Location is turned on. Here are the steps:

• Open Settings.
• Go to Privacy and then Location.
• Turn Location on.
• Scroll it down, make sure Maps is turn on under Choose apps which can use your location.

Wrong location under Map App in Windows 10
