Windows 10: Wrong Version of Windows 10 installed updater keeps updating to it.

OKAY I made a mistake while reloading Windows 10 after a hard drive change. Seems I must have clicked on Windows 10 PRO in place of Windows 10 home, it was late at night and I was tired. Enough excuses huh?Anyhow now I can not enter my key with out getting an error message sayin it's wrong.Then if I down load the updater to the USB drive it sees the "PRO" indication some place and will not give me the option of what version like it did the first time.Other than buying a new hard drive is there any way to fix this?

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
