Wrong Windows 10 scaling at 100%

    Hello,

I was changing settings for my secondary monitor 4K TV in Windows 10, when i noticed my main monitor was changed from the default 100% to "300% recommended" scaling, which is weird because its a 24" 1080p monitor, so i shouldn't need to use any scaling at all not having to use scaling was one of the reasons I went with 1080p. So i went i changed that back to 100%. That made everything way too small, very hard to read anything unless you put you face very close to the screen. Seems to actually be something like 75% scaling. And now windows says that 100% is the recommended again.

When changing to 125% scaling, everything looks more or less the same size it looked before, but now some applications, like Office 2013, looks very blurry not just menus but everything, even the text on cells.

I've tried reinstalling drivers and deleting some registry entries with no success.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Creator's update - Every time I undock, scaling goes to 150%

We appreciate that you have checked your drivers and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since the issue is still the same, this can be related to the new customer scaling settings that came with the Creator's Update. Can you follow the steps below
so we can check it for you:

    • Click on Start then Settings.
    • Choose System then Display.
    • Under Display, select Custom scaling and set it to 100%.

Update us on how it goes as we are eager to get this resolved for you.

Windows 10 display scaling feature request

    Hi,

Might be posting in the wrong forum...if so, please let me know the correct section for this.

I am one of the users suffering the blurry text issue with office 2016 APPs (2016 MSO 16.0.4549.1000 64BIT) under Win10 build 15063.502. Hope the fall CU will be fixing it in a more flexible way.

    Couple of queries for request:

    • Why can not MSFT give option to do scaling value other than 100, 125, 150...? There might be need to use 110% as scaling for per-display scaling?
    • Why can not Windows 10 save scaling settings for when connected and not-connected with external monitor and also switch automatically when detecting external monitor? For example, I want to setup laptop screen with 125% scaling and 100% scaling on
external monitor. I also prefer 100% scaling on laptop when not connected with external monitor. So when the external monitor is connected, laptop is scaled to 125% automatically; Switch back to 100% scaling when external monitor is disconnected.
Are these too much to ask? I think MacOS can do these for a long time...
