    WSL 2 Freezes During PyTorch Model Training


    I'm currently training some models on WSL 2 with PyTorch. After some time maybe about 20 mins, WSL freezes for no apparent reason. The ML model uses about 2 GB of VRAM while my PC has 24 GB and utilizes my GPU at about 50%, so I know it's not a resource issue. The issue also happens on the CPU. After it freezes, I must restart my computer or shutdown then start WSL back up.What I've Tried:- Upgrading WSL- Updating windows- Allocating max resources to WSLI've also tried troubleshooting with some online forum posts, but to no avail.Any ideas why this may be happening?

    WSL 2

    I want to make use of WSL 2 feature with the new update of Windows version 2004 , in order to use WSL 2 i need to enable Virtualization in my pc bios settings. So when i enable virtualization my windows starts lagging and all the animations of scrolling
    etc etc lags...Please suggest me something to fix that so that i could use the new virtualization feature.

    WSL 2 Freezes During PyTorch Model Training

    Upgrade to WSL 2

    I installed WSL using `wsl --install`. It installed WSL 1 not 2. In the meantime I loaded Ubuntu and made several customizations there. Can I upgrade to WSL 2 and preserve this Ubuntu dstribution?
