  1. WSL: Applications' Save Dialogs Don't Show Linux Folder

Am running Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621.674 and have successfully enabled WSL2 and installed Ubuntu 22.04.In Windows File Explorer I can navigate to and view files and folders in the /Linux/Ubuntu-22.04 folder \\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu-22.04 and open existing files in apps such as VS Code and Notepad. However, when I try to save a new file, those apps don't show the /Linux/Ubuntu-22.04 folder in their Save dialogs. The only way I can accomplish this it to first mount the /Linux/Ubuntu-22.04 folder as a network drive using pushd /Linux/Ubuntu-22.04 which maps the folder to the first avail

    :)

Open/Save Dialog not showing all folders/files

    Hi Gary

In order to get a better idea of the problem, can you please provide a screenshot of a listing of those folders in Windows File Explorer and also in the Open/Save dialog, which shows folder that cannot be seen in that dialog . . .

WSL: Applications' Save Dialogs Don't Show Linux Folder

Showing the "Linux" folder on the file explorer navigation panel for WSL2

One of the features that was released on the 2019 and May 2020 updates was having easy access to WSL system folders from the file explorer.

After having a fresh install, the "Linux" folder on the navigation panel is no longer available for me (even though it was listed on the features of the new update). Of course it's possible to create a shortcut to the location of the WSL folder, but having
an organized Linux folder for the different subsystems pinned is more ideal.

Is there any possible way to enable that feature again? I have tried adding the registry key, but it seems like WSL2 have a different value.
