Windows 10: WSL error every time I open Battle.net

Every time that I open Battle.net I get a notification/warning from the Event Viewer telling me that "Errors have ocurred during the launch of WSL". As far as I know, this doesn't affect me in any way, but it is quite annoying. Any ideas of what might be causing this error, and how it could be solved? My Windows version is Windows 11 Pro.Thank you! :

WSL is blocked by SAC ?

Hello,

I'm reaching out to the community for assistance with a persistent WSL issue. Upon attempting to launch WSL, I'm encountering the following error:

WslLaunchInteractive failed with error: 0x800711e6 - System Integrity policy has been violated. Explicit denied file.

Steps Taken:

1. I have reset the Ubuntu Linux distribution.
   
2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WSL.
   

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I am running Windows 11 build no: 22631.2715 with WSL 2.0.9.0, and the error occurs every time I try to start WSL.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Specifically, I'm seeking guidance on navigating the System Integrity policy that's seemingly causing the block. Any insights into how Smart App Control impacts WSL's functionality and possible configurations to mitigate this would be greatly appreciated.

Error code: Wsl/ERROR_SERVICE_DOES_NOT_EXIST | WSL seems to be broken after upgrading to Windows 11

Hi Microsoft Team,

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and attempted to install Docker. However, upon installation, I encountered difficulties launching Docker due to issues with WSL.

WSL seems to be broken in my system.

when I run below command in command prompt (admin mode) :

wsl --list --verbose

I get below error :

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

Error code: Wsl/ERROR_SERVICE_DOES_NOT_EXIST

Therefore, I uninstalled docker and WSL.

Turned off below windows features:

1. Hyper-V
   
2. Virtual Machine Platform
   
3. Windows HyperVisor Platform
   
4. Windows SubSystem for Linux
   

Rebooted.

Turned on the above windows feature and installed Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS from Microsoft Store.

Rebooted.

But its still not working.

when I run below command again :

wsl --list --verbose

It still gives the same error.

Could someone assist with this query, please ?

• Workaround:
  
  • Start WSL from an Elevated Terminal
    
  • So in "normal" language: Start your CMD/terminal with Admin Privileges then run the "WSL" command in this Terminal
    
• Manual Fix:
  
  • Type "regedit" in the Windows search and start Windows Registry Editor
    
  • Search and delete:
    
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PackagedCom\ClassIndex\{A9B7A1B9-0671-405C-95F1-E0612CB4CE7E}
    
• Official Fix:
  
  • In theory, there Is a fix pushed and live (Version 2.0.11)
    
  • But for me and others "WLS --update" does not pick it up so you have to install it manually:
    
    • Release 2.0.11 · microsoft/WSL
      
    • You (probably (to 99%)) need wsl.2.0.11.0.x64.msi
