Windows 10: WSL2 and desktop shortcut

HiSince I had upgraded my Ubuntu Version to Ubuntu 22.04 my desktop shortcut to launch SageMath through WSL2 no longer works. but ./sage_nb.sh is working well if I execute it directlyin WSL shell. my sage_nb.sh content rtollj@DESKTOP-K30FLRP:~$ more sage_nb.sh#!/bin/bashcd '/mnt/c/Documents and Settings/user/Mes documents/IPYNBpc'/home/sage-9.7.rc1/sage --notebook jupyter#SAGE_ROOT/sage --notebookortollj@DESKTOP-K30FLRP:~$this is below how my shortcut is configured:Create windows shortcut This is a final nicety that lets you start the JupyterLab server in one click: Open Windows explorer, a

WSL2 for windows

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines
   [COLOR=var(--text)][COLOR=var(--info-dark)] Note[/COLOR]
   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

2. Run the update package downloaded in the previous step. (Double-click to run - you will be prompted for elevated permissions, select ‘yes’ to approve this installation.)

Desktop Shortcut Icons

Hi Mik-Dav,

The desktop shortcut created for a specific website should bear the website's actual logo. With what you've experienced, there could be something wrong with how the shortcut was created.

If you've created the shortcut by selecting Create shortcut, then we suggest that you try the other way, that is by dragging the website icon that appears in the address bar to your desktop. Follow these steps:

• Using Internet Explorer, access a website.
• Once the website opens, you will see its icon in the address bar.
• Click and drag the icon on your desktop.

The website shortcut bearing its actual logo should now be saved on your desktop.

Desktop Shortcut Icons

I tried using Edge that comes with the computer and I can see the logo you are talking about. When I try to drag it to the desktop you can see that I have it but as soon as I drop it the window opens rather than putting the shortcut icon on the desktop.
