Windows 10: WSL2 does not work normally in my PC.

Hello.

I am trying to install the wsl2 in my pc.

When i type and command "wsl -l -v" or "wsl -v" in powershell , the command did not work. only "wsl -l" command does work normally


What should i do?

WSL2 for windows

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines
   [COLOR=var(--text)][COLOR=var(--info-dark)] Note[/COLOR]
   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

2. Run the update package downloaded in the previous step. (Double-click to run - you will be prompted for elevated permissions, select ‘yes’ to approve this installation.)

WSL2 and Environment Variables

I am trying to install Selenium and build a python application that includes automating web page completion (login info). I would like to built the program using VSCode and WSL2. I've installed selenium in WSL2. Selenium requires a webdriver api to
be installed and included on the system PATH in the environment variables. If I install the msedgedriver.exe for Windows, in Windows, and add it to PATH, will it work with Selenium installed on WSL2 in VSCode using Python?

 

WSL2 and new Windows Terminal not working with VPN

For most of my apps I don't want to use a VPN. So I have a VPN client that supports split tunneling so I can choose whether I want it to use VPN or not on app by app basis.

The VPN client works fine with different apps but when I try to set it up with Ubuntu WSL/2 and new Window Terminal app (by selecting both Ubuntu 20.04 LTS WSL2 app and the Windows Terminal App)... it doesn't work. When I check IP from Ubuntu WSL2 bash
terminal (using "curl ifconfig.me") it shows my real IP rather than the VPN ip (the VPN split tunnel works fine when I try to use it with Powershell via Windows Terminal).

What exact apps do I need to chose for the WSL2 Ubuntu terminal to work with the split tunnel VPN?
