Windows 10: WSL2 stopped working suddenly — HCS_E_HYPERV_NOT_INSTALLED error on Windows 11 Home

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a sudden issue with WSL2 on my Windows 11 Home edition. Everything was working fine earlier today, but now I can't launch any of my WSL distros. Virtualization is enabled in BIOS Windows is fully updated WSL, Virtual Machine Platform, and Hypervisor Platform features are enabled wsl --list --verbose shows all my distros using version 2 But when I run wsl, I get the following error:WSL2 is not supported with your current machine configuration.Please enable the "Virtual Machine Platform" optional component and ensure virtualization is enabled in the BIOS.Ena

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines

   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

2. Run the update package downloaded in the previous step. (Double-click to run - you will be prompted for elevated permissions, select ‘yes’ to approve this installation.)

WSL2 Stopped Working

WSL stopped working today when I started up my machine. I get the following error:

I have checked my BIOS and virtualization is enabled. I have tried removing the Virtual Machine Platform from Windows and reinstalling it, which has not worked. Vmware Workstation still works. Hyper-V is disabled and has been so previously.

I am running Windows 11 on a Lenovo P1 with an intel i9 and 32 gigs ram. I've only had this machine for about 2 weeks so hardly anything is installed on it. I was running Ubuntu and Kali via WSL2 with no problems until today.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.
