    WSUS: December cumulative update is expired without being superseded


    Hi,

    The cumulative update for December has status "Expired" on our site. When it was released by Microsoft, it was successfully downloaded by WSUS and deployed to the clients. After a few days, it was set to expired and the deployment stopped. It has not been superseded and we have monitored our settings which has not been modified and it has worked for years without issue.

    We are starting to think that this may be a bug, but we have not seen anything from Microsoft and we don't find anything when using Google.

    Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong, or what we should do to troubleshoot this?

    Cumulative December update

    I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
    suggestions?

    Hi Ed

    Since the January cumulative update has installed successfully, you do not need to worry about the December update, the January update would have contained whatever code was in the December update . . .

    WSUS: December cumulative update is expired without being superseded

    December Cumulative Update

    The Wu10 December Cumulative Update never installed. The entry says

    Cumulative Update for Win10 v1909 (KB4530684) (2) not downloading. Last failed install attempt on 12/10/19 – Oxc 1900401

    There have been no push attempts since and I do ask for Updates regularly. Today I got the January Cumulative which seemed to have some trouble but did install.

    Should I do anything about December at this point? If so, what? (I don't do tech stuff)
