wuaueng.dll 1016 SUS20ClientDataStore: A request to write to the file "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\edb.chk" at offset 0 0x0000000000000000 for 4096 0x00001000 bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time 27 seconds to be serviced by the OS. In addition, 2 other I/O requests to this file have also taken an abnormally long time to be serviced since the last message regarding this problem was posted 80 seconds ago. DLL Missing

The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.

To isolate your concern, can you provide us a screenshot of the following:

• Activity log that shows the error 1010 and 1016
• Background processes

Here's how to go to Background processes:

• Press Windows key + X, and then click on Task Manager.
• Under the Processes tab, scroll down to Background processes.

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
