  1. WUDFHost.exe using up to 40% of my CPU always

I am completely clueless about why this is happening but after updating windows 10 to the latest version about a week ago, I noticed how slow my pc has become. I started checking programs' cpu usage in task manager.. WUDFHost.exe has constantly been using up between 22% and 45% of my CPU. It's usually around 35% but it spikes sometimes.. this is ridiculous. I can't even play games because this thing is just eating up my cpu.. Help would be appreciated

    :)

    Notepad consuming cpu 40%

I'd agree the most likely cause is malware. E.g.
cpu 100% because of notepad.exe? - TechSpot Forums
    - just for information.

You need to use appropriate tools to clean your system.

This is what you should see if it is really Windows Notepad:

You can compare the file and process sizes and other information with that shown on your system.

    INCORRECT CPU FREQUENCY READING

    Hello Muhammad,

CPU usage depends on the applications that are open to your device. To isolate the problem, we suggest that you answer the following questions:

    • Can you include a screenshot of the CPU reading?
    • Have you tried performing a
      clean boot
      to eliminate software conflicts?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Looking forward to your response.
