  1. 'X' button does not close apps on Windows 10... minimises them to tray

    Hi,

I recently had a problem with the Windows 10 update, which the IT at work managed to fix, he reinstalled Windows. But now I can't close any apps, everytime I click on the 'X', the app is minimised to the tray, even though I disabled this feature. Everytime I need to close an app, I have to open the tray, right click on the app, and click on 'Exit'. So basically the 'X' button doesn't actually close the app. I already turned off the tablet mode feature, but nothing seems to work.

    Thanks for your help.

    :)

Minimise/Restore/Close buttons not showing on Modern apps, Windows 10

What is Windows 10 desktop supposed to look like?

All my Modern apps - Weather, News, Calendar, Edge etc. exhibit blank (hidden?) close, minimise and restore/maximise buttons. Ok, by design perhaps? But when I hover over them they stay blank.

The only sometimes exception is when I restore these apps after they have been minimised for a while. The minus, square and X buttons reappear for a short period, so the window buttons look like desktop apps (Chrome, iTunes, IE11 etc). But once I have closed and reopened them, they have gone blank again. I can't sense any logic to it.

Am I seeing a kind of bug?

why is my minimise/maximise button NOT working

    Windows 10 - a recent conversion from w7.

New Intel driver downloaded but no change.

minimise button not working, don't know what else I can say.

Nor is Windows button+D /M as suggested on other sites.

Screens will NOT minimise but the X button does work

Size of close, Minimise and Maximise buttons

    Hi all,

I have recently downloaded Windows 10 and was wondering if there was a way to reduce the size of the Close, Minimise and restore buttons at the top of each of my windows?

    Thanks
