x86 proagrams only executable with right-click admin rights

WIN 10 X86 Programs e.g. Picasa since a few days are only executable right click on icon and select with ADMIN rights, and ADMIN password. And this, even if the user ID has ADMIN rights. Granting full rights to used files does'nt help. Right clicking on Icon results in no action and no warning.

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.

  3. Admin rights

You should not copy files into the Program Files folder.

The inbuilt Administrator account has exactly the same privileges as any other admin account.

What makes you believe that your current account has admin privileges? You can tell for sure like so:

    1. Open a Console session with cmd.exe.
    2. Type this command and press Enter: net localgroup administrators
    Is your account listed?

What happens when you do this:

    1. Create a desktop shortcut for cmd.exe
    2. Right-click it, then left-click Run as administrator

I'm not trying to alter any system files. I have some automotive tuning software that happened to install itself into that folder. I have older versions of the software that I am trying to move some saved customer files from, to the newer version which happens
to be the one in the Program Files (x86) folder.

When I check the admin group command, it says this:

    Members

    Administrator

    MicrosoftAccount\powersurgeperf@xxxxxxx

    Sal (that's me)

    The command completed successfully.

When I do the admin shortcut for cmd.exe, it opens a new window and at the top it says Administrator: cmd.exe
