  1. XB1 controller pairing lost in Win10 when plugging and unplugging USB cable

After pairing my Xbox One Controller via Bluetooth in Windows 10, everything works fine. If I remain wireless, then it will always reconnect even after turning on my laptop or if I had previously turned off the controller.

The problem occurs when the batteries dies in the middle of a game or the controls start to become laggy due to a low charge. I quickly grab my micro USB cable and connect it to the controller and continue playing the game while wired.

Then if I turn off my controller, put a new set of AA batteries and turn the controller one: the Xbox Home Button will blink over and over again as if it's unable to pair with my laptop anymore! If I plug it via USB, it works, but I don't want to play wired all the time! I much prefer wireless.

Every time I do this, I have to go into Win10's bluetooth settings, delete the pairing and then use "Add a new device" and pair is all over again!

It's like if connecting it via USB will wipe the wireless settings on the controller.

Here is all the troubleshooting I did:

    - Dell G5 5590 bluetooth drivers are update to date

    - All laptop drivers are update to date

    - Windows 10 updates are all up to date

    - Uninstalled Geforce Experience because it used to randomly disconnect the XB1 controller while gaming because NVIDIA's gaming bar for streaming would conflict with MS Xbox's streaming software. This eliminated all random disconnects while gaming, but did not fix the USB plugging unpairing issue.

    - Xbox Controller firmware is up to date. Xbox Accessories reports that there is no new updates for my controller.

    - Tested on my brother's laptop and the same thing happens.

    Is my controller defective?

The only solution is to never plug it via USB. When the batteries are starting to get weak, I just have to waste 10+ seconds removing the dead batteries and replace them, instead of using 1-2 seconds to plug a cable and continue gaming. But I really wish I didn't have to do that because I never had issues with my Playstation 4 Dualshock controller when paired in Win10.

    :)

"Network cable unplugged" - but it is plugged in..

Hoping some of the Windows ninjas can help.

Running Windows 10 Pro on a Dell XPS 8500 desktop/tower. Hard wired Ethernet from Dlink router to PC.

Had been working great for months. But all of a sudden (yesterday) - getting this message from "Net Connections." Ethernet, network cable unplugged (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller). It's strange because it had been working. The PC has WIFI so it's connecting that way.

Here's what I tried so far:

    1. Plugged in Ethernet directly from cable modem. Same error.
    2. Connected another device to router. It works.

Seems like it's some kind of issue with PC itself - either hardware failure or driver corruption ? Would there be a problem with deleting the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller in the Control Panel>Network and Internet > Network Connections - restarting and see if that fixes the issue.

    Any other suggestions?

  3. Far Cry Primal works with wired XB1 controller, but not Bluetooth

So, I just bought and installed Far Cry Primal from UPlay. I fired it up for the first time with my Xbox One controller paired via Bluetooth. Game doesn't accept input from it. So I started a new game anyway, unpaired the controller and re-paired it, then Alt-tabbed back into the game. I get a message saying the controller isn't recognized, but it shows up in the game's controller menu. If I unpair and plug it in via MicroUSB then it just works.

What gives here? Any fix? I would assume my game is already up to date.

    Thanks!

Edit: My controller is a 100% original Microsoft XB1. I know there are companies that sell controllers that are certified to work, but still aren't the real deal. I also bought the battery pack. A microUSB cable wasnt included, i use a red fiber braided 6 feet Anker PowerLine cable, extremely tough and durable. I don't own the console.

  4. XB1 controller pairing lost in Win10 when plugging and unplugging USB cable

Xbox One S Controller is not getting connected even if it is paired, after unplugging it with USB.

Can someone explain to my WHY the Xbox One S controller isn't recognized anymore by Windows 10 Bluetooth after unplugging it with the USB cable.

If i run out of batteries and i use the controller with a Cable it works fine but, when i put batteries back on... the Controller doesn't connect with the computer even when the device is already Paired.

I have to remove device and connect again in order to get it to work, i mean why?
