Windows 10: Xbox 360 controller on windows version 1803

I have a wireless xbox 360 controller with a charging cord plugged into my pc. It is showing up in the device manager as "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit". Despite being recognized in the device manager it flashes 4 green lights around the xbox button (syncing issue?). I have uninstalled drivers, updated drivers, tried multiple usb ports, restarting, unplugging, etc. I would love to be able to use this controller. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Xbox One controller being recognized as a 360 Controller

There are several reasons why your Xbox One controller is detected as an Xbox 360 controller by your PC. It is possible that the controller is not updated or if you previously used an Xbox 360 controller on the PC, it is still detecting its drivers instead
of the Xbox One controller drivers. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Have you used an Xbox 360 controller on the same computer before?
• Does the error message occur on all of the games that you play?
• Have you tried to update the controller?
• Are you using an Xbox One Elite controller?

Windows version 1803 xbox 360 controller support

So I use an xbox 360 wireless adapter to play some games on my pc, after updating to 1803, there is no longer a "Xbox 360 Peripherals" tab inside device manager, which makes it impossible for me to update the drivers. If anyone knows where I can find the
Xbox 360 Peripherals tab in this version of windows it would be much appreciated
