Windows 10: xbox 360 guitar not working on my windows 10

I have 2 xbox 360 guitars wired USB... I plug in the USB and windows does detect them as 360 controllers, but not guitars. I then try the xbox companion app, and was presented with some error about not having any controllers on this computer. this all seemed strange since it was listed in device manager. i was able to use my guitar to move over to continue and hit the green button on my guitar to select the continue, but the guitar no longer worked after that. the menu in rock band 4 rivals did not move, i was unable to select a song, it was as though my xbox 1 x was not receiving a

To address your concern, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox 360 controller driver. To do that, follow these steps:

• Go to the Device Manager.
• In Device Manager locate Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows
  and right click it.
• Choose Uninstall.
  
• After the driver has been uninstalled, restart your computer. When your computer restarts, Windows 10 will automatically install the missing driver.

• SmartGlass for Windows 8
• Xbox Companion for Windows Phone
• SmartGlass for iOS
• SmartGlass for Android.

SmartGlass on Xbox 360 can be updated by updating the console itself. To get a new update, you can visit this

Guitar hero controller not working with Windows 10

I just bought an Xbox 360 wired xplorer guitar hero controller and it doesn't seem to work with Windows 10. I've tried installing drivers for Xbox 360 controller updating them I've tried everything...I've also asked around and I was told it's plug and
play and shouldn't give me this much of a problem. Any help would be appreciate thanks in advanced
