Windows 10: Xbox and Microsoft store keeps reinstalling the same 3 applications on every system reboot.

I recently installed a clean copy of Windows 11 on my computer and used the license linked to my account to activate windows. I ran into an issue where the Xbox application/Microsoft store would reinstall a copy of Jurassic world Evolution 2, Halo infinite and Forza motorsport on every reboot. I have disabled windows backup and reinstalled the Xbox application with no success.

Can't reinstall Microsoft Store

You can use one of these methods to reinstall Store:



Option 1

Please try "Method 2" (downloading the Store Appx offline installer) in the following article:

After downloading the Msixbundle and Appx packages, you can double-click to install them. Install the Appx (dependency packages) first, then run the Msixbundle file. If you can't install the packages interactively, you can install them using the Add-AppxPackage PowerShell command.

Option 2

Open an Admin Command Prompt and type:

• winget install 9WZDNCRFJBMP
  

(9WZDNCRFJBMP is the SKU ID for the Microsoft Store app.)



Option 3

• Install the Xbox app by downloading the .msi from Xbox App for Windows PC.
  
• Open the Xbox App.
  
• Open Settings.
  
• Click on the General settings tab (left second tab on the list)
  
• In the upper right of the screen, there will be a list of system bundles that are missing. Click install on all of them.
  
• After installing the bundles, close the Xbox app.

Xbox Insider Hub does not appear in the Microsoft Store

1. Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
   
2. Have you signed in using the Microsoft account?
   
3. Are you able to search for other apps on the Microsoft Store?
   

However, you may follow these steps to check if that helps.

Step 1: Suggest you to run the apps troubleshooter to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.

Step 2: You can also try to manually
download the Xbox Insider Hub from the link.

Xbox one / Microsoft store

Hi Chad2435,

If you're connected to Xbox Live, then you should normally be able to access the Microsoft Store on your Xbox One. Let's try to isolate the issue by performing the following solutions below:

Solution 1: Power cycle your Xbox One console.

• Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely. 
• Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
• Plug the console power cable back in.
• Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Solution 2: Clear the storage cache on the console.

• Press the menu key on the controller.
• Go to Settings, and then select Disc & Blu-Ray.  
• In the Blu-Ray section select Persistent Storage.  
• Select Clear persistent storage.

Solution 3: Clear MAC address on your Xbox One to refresh network setting.

• Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.  
• Select Settings.  
• Select All Settings.  
• Select Network.  
• Select Network settings.  
• Select Advanced settings.  
• Select Alternate MAC address.  
• Select Clear.
