    Xbox App failed game installation

A couple of months ago I had a problem with the installation of Sea of Thieves through both the Xbox App and Microsoft Store, resulting in an infinite installation-error loop 0x80070005. I recieved no support back in the day, and I still have this issue. I have also noticed I have a folder in my secondary hard drive disk called A231BC6F-3B30-4C80-919E-DCEA2086E602 that I don't have access to, even with an administrator user. I have searched everywhere and tried many of the common troubleshooting methods other people had, but the only option left would be to format my hard disk and I would ra

remove game data from xbox game in windows 10

I appreciate your reply. It seems that the game progress was saved to your Xbox account associated on your computer that's why you can't play the game from the beginning. I recommend that you remove the account on your computer by performing the following
    steps:

    1. Press the Windows icon, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Select Accounts.
    3. Under Email & app accounts, click the Microsoft account, then click Remove.

I also suggest that you reset the Xbox app on your computer so that we could ensure that no account is linked to it. To get started, kindly follow these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Go to Apps.
    3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
    4. Click the Xbox app, then select Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset.

Let us know if that works for you. We'd be glad to further assist you.

Xbox cloud gaming and community tab not showing in Windows app.

    Hello GiorgosMarnellos,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We are sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the Xbox app on Windows PC. Let's try a few steps to fix the issue however just a heads up, here at Microsoft Community forums, we only have limited tools in case the troubleshooting steps fail, we may need you to reach Xbox Live Support for further assistance.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    1. Update the Xbox app: Make sure your Xbox app is up-to-date. You can do this by checking for updates in the Microsoft Store.

    2. Check your region and language settings: Xbox Cloud Gaming is only available in selected countries. Make sure your region is one of the supported ones.

    3. Repair the Xbox app: You can repair the Xbox app from the Windows system settings. Here’s how:

    • Press Windows + S to bring up the search console.
    • Type Installed apps and click Open.
    • On the Installed Apps search bar, type Xbox.
    • Click the 3-dot icon beside Xbox and select Advanced Options.
    • Scroll to Repair and click on it.

    4. Reinstall Gaming Services: Uninstall and reinstall the Gaming Services.

    • Press the Start button on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator1.
    • In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

      get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
    • Restart the PC and open the Xbox application. A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom: "This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install".
    • Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again.
    • If that doesn’t work: Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin). Type or copy / paste the following command and press Enter:

      start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    • Install the app on that page, and then select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    5. If the issue still persists, try creating new user profile. Sometimes, creating a new user profile can help resolve this issue.

If none of these step's work, we highly suggest contacting Xbox Live Support for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or be able to escalate the issue to their technical team for further investigation. You can reach them on this link: Contact us | Xbox Support.

    • Make sure to sign in to your Xbox account first. Then, click "Contact Us" and select a category.
    • Click Next and select View Contact Options. Select Skip.
    • Then, select the option "Let our virtual agent help you find a solution."
    • A chat pop-up will appear, and then type "Talk to Agent" in the chat window.
    • Select your issue and click Next. You'll then see an option to "Request a Callback" or "Chat with Live agent".

We hope this helps. If you have any other questions or issues, please let me know. We are always happy to assist you.

Have a great day and happy gaming!

    Sincerely,
