  2. Xbox App on Windows 11 says "You're not connected to the internet" when attempting to sign in

Title really says it all. I have been trying since installing Windows 11 about a month ago to get this working.

This is the message that shows:

Xbox App on Windows 11 says "You're not connected to the internet" when attempting to sign in. 3d8db6c2-d812-4a5e-b04d-4f4767e87012?upload=true.png

At first it wouldn't show the login window, but after toggling between a MS and local Windows account, it now it says "You're not connected to the internet" and refuses to elaborate. I've been on pretty much every help page out there on this topic, but all of the instructions seem to be for either older versions of Windows or for the Xbox itself. To make things quicker, here are the things I have attempted:

    • Restarting (of course haha)
    • Going to "C:\Users\simon\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker" and deleting the folder contents
    • Doing the same as above, but for all "TokenBroker" folders
    • Uninstalling my VPN
    • Resetting/Flushing my DNS settings
    • Checking to see if the Xbox services are running on the PC, and starting them if not
    • Switching from a MS Windows account to a local account
    • Uninstalling/Reinstalling the Xbox app
    • Resetting/Repairing the app through Windows settings
    • Running WSreset.exe
    • Running "sfc /scannow" (no issues)
    • Logging out of my MS account completely and logging only into the Xbox app
    • Logging in through the Xbox gamebar (same issue as with the standard Xbox app)
And I'm sure I'm missing a few things too.

I'm currently running Windows 11 Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.346), have no updates pending, and am logged in with no issues on my MS account.

Has anyone else fixed this? Because I swear to god if I have to reinstall Windows for the 100th time because of some aspect of the Windows Store breaking, well, I don't know what I'll do- because I think this debacle makes it the 6th time that Windows has broken for literally 0 reason. I don't do anything crazy with my PC, just game, stream, edit Word docs for school- heck this is a decently fresh install, after starting completely fresh a month ago, so IMHO it's pretty unacceptable for the world's leading OS to be so broken for literally 0 reason over and over and over again.

At this rate I'm literally giving MS about one or two more mess ups before I finally switch to Linux for good, because at least it allows me to get my hands dirty and actually fix the problem.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. I just think that spending an entire day troubleshooting for a gaming app to be able to log in, in 2021, is kinda insane- and I really would prefer not to reinstall Windows, as its extremely tedious installing, logging in, and configuring the same 15-20 programs over and over again.

Any potential fixes or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Simon

Can't sign in to xbox app on windows 10 laptop

    Hi,

A corrupted file is one of the possible reasons as to why you can't sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10. Changing some the network settings can help to resolve the issue. To change your network settings, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then type
Internet Options in the search box.
    • Click the Connections tab, and then click on the
      LAN settings button.
    • Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN, and then check
      Automatically detect settings.
    • Click OK, and then click OK
      again to save the settings.
    • Launch Xbox app and sign in again.

If you still unable to sign in to Xbox app, kindly reset the app from the Settings menu by performing the following steps:

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
    • Select System, and then select
      Apps & features
      .
    • Find the game, and then click on Advanced options.
    • Click Reset.
    • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Let us know the result after performing the suggested solutions above.

  4. Xbox App on Windows 11 says "You're not connected to the internet" when attempting to sign in.

I cant sign in Xbox app

    Hi Yacob,

The Internal Error 500 may occur due to a server or an internet connection issue. To better assist you with your concern, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Are you still able to sign in to your profile on the
      Xbox Account page
      online?
    • Is your computer connected to the internet?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer or your account prior to the issue?
    • Are you connected to a home network?

In the meantime, we suggest that you update the Xbox App by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Here's how:

    • Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
    • Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.
    • Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage
    • Hit Enter.
    • Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.
