Xbox App Services dead startup task

I have a dead startup task called Xbox App Services. I know it is dead because it doesn't exist on my PC anymore as I uninstalled the app itself, as well as the update associated with the Xbox beta app a long time ago. I can't find it with autoruns nor can I find it by manually searching through the reg. Any idea on where I can find it?

  2. My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
    Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

XBOX APP BUG - XblAuthManager Service Fails to Stop Correctly

    Hello Renatas,

Thanks for keeping us updated on the above issue.

You may be facing the above issue due to the improper services settings set for
Xbox Live Auth Manager service. The Xbox Live Auth Manager services should be kept
Running and Automatic for the error message to not show up on using the built-in Xbox app.

I suggest you to check if Xbox Live Auth Manager service is enabled on the PC by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Services and select the top most search result.
    • From the window locate Xbox Live Auth Manager service in the window and check if the
Status shows Running and the Startup Type is set to
      Automatic.
    • If not set, double click on the service and select from the drop down bar
Automatic under Startup type and Service status to
Running. If it is set, Stop and Start the service.
    • Click on Apply and OK.
    • Reboot the PC and check if the changes are effective.

Write to us with the status of the issue for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.
