Windows 10: Xbox App wont switch accounts! Error: the background task activation is spurious

I am trying to login to the account that I merged my Minecraft w/ and my Windows keeps defaulting to another one of my Xbox accounts I have. I try to switch the account using the switch button and I get the error: the background task activation is spurious. Please Help! I contacted Mojang support and I was told to ask here so yeah...What I have tried:Logging in and out of WIN storechanging the Microsoft account associated w/ my pc.signing out of Xbox app have NOT tried game bar because the sign out button does not workuninstalled/reinstalled Xbox App uninstalled/reinstalled Xbox Companion a

Can't Sign Into Xbox

I am trying to sign into Xbox App with my microsoft account but it just tells me "The background task activation is spurious."

 

Background tasks

The background tasks have the possibility to perform some tasks on a scheduled basis. They are not actively running all the time in the background.



When holding the back-button you will get a list of recently used apps, not the background tasks. Recently run apps are not actively running either, they are put in a sleep state (and are not using your processor or battery).



Windows Phone is a bit different to other platforms and will conserve your battery better.

 

Background tasks

I am using nokia lumia 800.

No background tasks, only home screen, seen when press and hold "Back" arrow.



Then i go into settings > applications, tap "background tasks", tap "advanced"...shows a list of apps.



Question: Are there background tasks actively running?
