Windows 10: XBox controller charging but not detected when plugged on USB port

Hello,I have a weird behavior with my XBox controller since Windows 21H1 update : when synced with the wireless adapter, the controller is working fine. But when i plug the controller on USB with the official cable, the controller vibrates and starts charging, but i'm not able to keep it on and play through USB as i used to. The Xbox button will keep flashing for 30s approximatively then the controller will turn off but it's still charging. I'm thus unable to use it when battery is low, which is a hurdle during long gaming sessions.I've tried several manipulations advised changing USB port,

I tried both methods and neither seemed to help. Also I plugged one of the controllers into my laptop and it started charging just fine. One thing I did notice is while restarting my computer the controller started charging while the computer was rebooting,
once my profile screen came up it stopped charging. Does that help?

The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows needs a powered USB port. If the controller is not working correctly, try changing it to a different USB port. Avoid using USB hubs or the front ports on a PC. Unpowered hubs or ports might not provide enough power
to the controller. For best results, plug the controller into another USB port on the back of the computer.

Typically, the ports on the back of a computer are powered ports. Ports on the front of the computer may not be powered ports. An external USB hub doesn’t provide powered ports if it doesn’t have its own separate power supply or AC adapter.

Since the issue started after an update, you can uninstall Windows Updates from your computer by following the steps below:

• Click Start and go to Settings.
• Go to Update & security.
• Under the Check for updates button, click Update History.
• Select Uninstall updates.
• Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

This process will only allow you to remove updates that Windows has installed since installing the previous build.
