Windows 10: Xbox controller keeps glitching

I've been using this Xbox controller on my computer since I got it over a year ago, with no issues. Recently, though, it began randomly glitching out - and from the sound of things, the *EXACT* issue I'm having has been reported before? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/xbox-one-controller-randomly-stops-responding/d27579e7-fb57-4372-bf6d-e6119f3938bcI'd greatly appreciate it if someone could point me to a solution to fix this; it's driving me nuts.

Secondly, have you tried Hard reset/power cycle? Make sure to completely unplug the power supply

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc
