  1. Xbox Controller with headset connected causing audio issue

Since the last Windows Update KB5007262 when I have my headphones connected to the controller, I hear a lot of static over the audio. When there is no audio, there is no static. I tried connecting the headphones in to the aux jack, and the issue is not present, so there's nothing wrong with the headphones. This is just a new issue that has happened since I got this recent update.Any ideas to fix it?I've tried disabling audio enhancements. I've tried restarting. I've tried checking for more Windows Updates. None of those things have fixed the problem.

    :)

  2. Players on the other end cannot hear when connected to Xbox controller on Windows 10 when using Party app on Xbox.

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

Before assisting further, i would like to ask you few questions:

    a. Does the issue persists only on using Xbox controller?

    b. Did you check if the headset works fine on computer when not connected to Xbox controller?

    c. Did you check if similar issue persists on connecting another headset to the Xbox controller?

If you haven’t tried, I suggest you to connect other headphone to the Xbox controller and check if similar issue persists. Also check if similar issue persists on connecting the headphones directly to the PC and not to the Xbox controller.

Step 1: If the issue persists, is suggest you to
update the headphones driver from Device manager manually by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard select
      Device Manager from the options.
    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs option, right-click on the
headphone driver and select Update this software
      option.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
    • Close the window after the update is complete and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persists only when connected to Xbox controller, I suggest you to post your query in
Xbox support forum for further assistance.
