Windows 10: Xbox Controller Wont Connect to Pc

my xbox controller isnt connecting to my pc via bluetooth. its connected but at the same time it isnt...like in the settings it says the controller is connected and the xbox guide button light is on but the controller doesnt respond to button inputs...doesnt work in games or out of games on my pc i have contacted and recieved support from a microsoft support agent and they have done everything they could, they even controlled my pc remotely...they told me to contact xbox support because they have tried everything. please help

Xbox Controller is not connecting to Wireless Adapter

I appreciate your time and patience to work on this issue. To have a better clarity on the issue please reply to the following questions:

• Are you using an Xbox one controller?
  

If you are using an Xbox one controller, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article

How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC and see if that helps in resolving the issue.



I would also suggest you to uninstall all the hidden devices under USB hive and check if you are able to connect the wireless adapter. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the hidden drivers:

1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
   
2. Select Device manager.
   
3. Click View tab.
   
4. Select Show hidden devices.
   
5. Expand Universal Serial Bus and remove all the greyed out devices. To remove the greyed out devices, right click on the device and select
   uninstall.
   
6. Restart your computer.

Xbox 360 controller wont connect to wireless reciever

Greetings,

i've got my pc wireless reciever in the mail today so i can play video games on my computer while using the xbox 360 controller. But it is not connecting, i've downloading the driver on the pc wireless reciever trough the windows "Search on my computer for drivers" option. But no succes yet. The light on the controller just keeps flashing with no connection what so ever. Any help is really appreciated

I have tested to see if the controller was broken, but its not since it does connect to my xbox 360 slim without an issue.
