Windows 10: Xbox controllers cancel each other out

I just bought two wireless xbox controllers with adapters. Windows is recognizing both adapters separately and controllers work fine but only if one of them is on, the other is turned off as soon as I plug the additional one in. They cancel each other out.


One controller - working OK

Seccond controller - will work but the first one doesnt


I have noticed there is a brief moment when they both work but then it doesnt after few seconds.


Controllers will work together if one is plugged in per usb and the other per wireless adapter.


What could be the issue?

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc
