Windows 10: Xbox Core controller, wired on Win 10 PC. Does not work on boot.

Hi, we've been using the different generations of Xbox controllers on our laptops for a while now and I noticed some slightly different behavior with the Core controller.Upon starting up the PC the controller shows up in the Device Manager, but we are unable to use it. Outside of our application I usually use Windows' USB Game Controllers window to confirm if it's visible and in this case it doesn't show up as a valid controller. If you unplug and replug the gamepad it comes back and everything works as usual.I've tried this with an Xbox 360 controller as well as one of the Xbox One controller

PC won't boot with XBox One Controller connected

As stated in the title: PC won't boot with XBox One Controller connected. I have two computers, both with Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Both computers have the XBox One driver installed. One PC has the Normal Bios and that PC will boot with either
a XBox360 or XBox One Controller connected. The other PC has a UEFI Bios and with an XBox360 controller connected it boots.....But..... If there is an XBox One controller connected it won't boot. If it will boot with an XBox360 controller connected why wouldn't
it boot with an XBox One controller connected? Both controllers are wired.

Any suggestions ??

The drivers for Xbox 360 Controllers are automatically installed on Windows 10. If your Xbox 360 wired controller is not detected by your PC, try plugging it into a different USB port, and then test it again.

We also suggest that you install all the critical and important updates on your computer by following the steps on this

link.

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.
