Windows 10: XBOX Elite 2 Wireless controller wont appear in joy.cpl

Hey all,


my Elite 2 Wireless Controller wont appear in joy.cpl when used via Bluetooth.

It is properly detected by joy.cpl when connected via cable.


When i pair it via bluetooth, it does perfectly work in the xbox accessories app, it just does not work in most directx games.

In device manager when i filter by "device by container" it is erroneously detected as a hid-keyboard complete with exclamation mark.

From this i conclude this must be a driver issue somehow. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this?


I tried to contact xbox support chat. They told me they will contact me within 72 hours with troubleshooting advice. That was 3 weeks ago...

Another Support agent just forwarded me to the general support page that only contains useless information.
