Windows 10: Xbox game bar capture feature does not pick up my own voice when other apps are using my mic.

Whenever I use the xbox game bar capture feature, you can hear all audio that is meant to be captured except for my own voice through my mic. This happens mostly randomly, but 100% of the time when something else is using my mic e.g. Discord calls. I've tried setting my privacy settings to allow game bar to use my mic and made sure my voice was being detected in the settings of game bar. I've also checked that my mic is the right one selected and is unmuted in game bar.

I understand that you are facing issues while recording microphone audio using game bar while playing games.

In addition, you can also check if the Microphone for game bar is enabled under privacy settings.

1. Go to Settings (press Windows +
   I key together) > Privacy.
   
2. On the left hand pane scroll down and look for
   Microphone.
   
3. Toggle Allow apps to access Microphone
   to ON.
   
4. Under Choose which Microsoft Store app can access your Microphone toggle Xbox game bar to
   ON.
   
5. Restart the game bar.

I truly understand that you are having an issue with Xbox game bar that is not showing any captures , let's work on this together for us to fix the issue.



Kindly follow the steps below that could possibly fix the issue.

Fix 1 : Enable game bar in settings

• Go to Settings
  
• Then click Gaming icon to continue.
  
• go to the Game Bar panel, make sure the option Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Gaming bar is on.
