Windows 10: Xbox Game bar crashes on 'Join Game' or when accepting game invites

I've had this issue for a couple of weeks where my Xbox Game bar crashes every time I accept a game invite, or try to click 'Join Game'. Honestly, I'm not even sure 'crashing' is the right word, because I do not get an error message, I just get the blue wheel spinning for a few seconds and then it's as if I didn't press anything. The game doesn't crash and the game bar remains open no matter how many times I try. Joining an Xbox party works just fine. Inviting people works just fine. I also cannot join people in game from the Xbox App from the Friends list. I've been looking it up, and I

Xbox Game Bar Crashing When Joining Party

Xbox Game Bar has recently started crashing parties when I join them. If I join myself or if I am invited, it will automatically kick me from party and also boot every other party member out of the party as well. I have rolled back a recent Windows update
and reinstalled all of my drivers. I have tried terminating, repairing, and reinstalling Xbox Game Bar, and nothing seems to work. Any idea how to fix?

Is anyone else running into the problem of joining xbox friends through the "join game/invited to game" button? Been playing sea of thieves and every now and then I have to end task on the Game Bar to fix my issue, which is pretty annoying.

 

Xbox game bar "the parameter is incorrect" error

when i launch the xbox game bar using "Windows Key + G" i get an error appear saying "the parameter is incorrect". ive had this PC for less than a week and am unsure as to why im getting it. The game bar also doesnt let me join anyones parties or invites
to games (e.g. when a friend invited me to play Sea Of Thieves, i clicked on the tick to accept the invite but nothing happened).
