Windows 10: Xbox Game Bar refuses to open with shortcut

This started around a week ago, when I was carelessly messing with regkeys I had found on the internet. "This one trick helps improve FPS", but at the cost of my Game bar not working how it should. I have followed around 5 tutorials, start to finish, when searching "Xbox game bar shortcut not working" on YouTube. Nothing seems to work. And, on top of all this, "Enable Xbox Game Bar for things like recording game clips, chatting with friends, and receiving game invites" refuses to stay on. XBox Game Bar Custom Shortcut Problem

Yesterday I encountered a very weird problem with the XBox Game Bar (Windows 10). I use a custom keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Pause) for taking screenshots so I can activate it with only one hand. However, yesterday the custom shortcut just stopped working.

The default shortcut still works (Win + Alt + Print Screen), just not the custom shortcut. It doesn't matter what I set the custom shortcut to it won't work.
The strange thing is other custom shortcuts do work. For example I can customize the "open XBox game bar" shortcut to "Ctrl + Pause" and it works. But it won't work with screenshots no matter what I set it to.

I've tried repairing and resetting the app from the settings menu multiple times, turning settings on and off. I also tried uninstalling the app using PowerShell and installing it fresh from the MS store. I've also tried uninstalling it and
re-installing it from the MS store. I've also tried uninstalling and removing the registry keys as suggested here (Top 5 Solutions to Xbox Game Bar Not Working)

Nothing has worked so far. It's almost as if there is a setting somewhere that was changed or set to read-only but I see the values change in the registry when changing the screenshot shortcut.

I'm out of ideas on what to try at this point. Does anyone have any solutions?

Cannot open Xbox Game Bar

A corrupted data may cause your Gamebar is not to work properly.
Here are steps on how to fix problems with Game bar on Windows 10:

1. If nothing happens when you press the Windows logo key + G, check your Game bar settings. Open the Xbox app,
and select Settings > Game DVR and make sure Record game clips and screenshots using Game bar is On.

2. If Game bar doesn’t appear for a full-screen game, try keyboard shortcuts: Press the Windows logo key + Alt + R to start
recording a clip, then press it again to stop. You’ll see the screen flash when the recording starts and ends.

3. If the Windows logo key isn’t working during a game, the game may be blocking it. To create your own keyboard shortcuts for Game bar, choose the Xbox app, then select Settings > Game
DVR > Keyboard shortcuts and set your own.
