Windows 10: Xbox game pass ultimate says "success" but not showing in my subscriptions

Hello, I recently purchased an ASUS laptop and it offers a month of free game pass ultimate. I know where to find it in both the Xbox app and the Microsoft store and have selected my payment information for when the promotion is over. Finally, I click finish and it shows "success" as though it has been activated. It is not activated, however and does not show up in my subscriptions list, or show that I have it on both my pc and Xbox. In most places, it still offers the $1 first month. I have tried to activate it again a few times to no avail and it shows the same success window with no subscri
