Windows 10: xbox gamebar capture has black bar around it

whenever I tried to use the xbox gamebar capture feature it looked like this:this started happening about a week ago, before it was perfectly fine & fullscreen. I don't know how to get it back to how it was previously. by the way, I saw this same question asked and people said to turn the scaling to 100% in settings but that just turns the screen really small. by the way this is on surface pro

I am unable to follow those steps. As I mentioned, there is no "Captures" folder. It points directly to the temp folder, and there is no Captures folder for me to edit. When I go into the properties on the temp folder, I have no "location" tab, so nothing can be changed.

 

Restore Default Gamebar Capture location

I understand that you want to restore the default location for GameBar Captures, I’ll help you with the steps to do this.



Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming and select
   Captures from the left pane.
   
3. Click on Open folder to open the current capture folder.
   
4. Now, right click on an empty space in the folder and select
   Properties.
   
5. Click on Location tab, and select
   Restore Default.
   
6. Click on OK and select Yes (Twice) to confirm the change.

If you don't have one- create one.

I suggest you create a captures folder in Videos, and use the dialogue to point to it.
