  1. Xbox gamebar/game dvr on windows 10 has bad microphone quality. How can I fix it?

I've been using the xbox game bar app to record some games lately. However, when I do that, my audio quality becomes fuzzy, unclear and awful. I have tried various "solutions" to this problem already, including going to the recording settings for audio, turning up my microphone settings altogether, and even getting a new microphone, yet the problem persists. What's worse, my audio records near perfectly in other programs like obs and discord. However, I cannot use things like obs to record due to hardware limitations. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Game DVR Microphone Quality Isn't Good

I think something must have changed with the Creator's Update. My Game DVR mic quality was really good before the update, and now it sounds terrible. Seems to only affect USB microphones though because I also tried it with an analog mic, and the quality
was good. Updating my USB mic drivers didn't help.

Game DVR is the only program that is affected for me. All other recording software with my USB mic works as expected.

Game DVR Microphone Quality Isn't Good

I'm still having this issue. Ever since the creators update, my microphone quality has been drastically degraded in the Xbox DVR. All other methods of recording my microphone sound great, except for the DVR. I haven't been able to find any fix for it, and
suggesting that it's something to do with the hardware in my computer seems like a way to avoid the issue.

I use this app to create videos, and my voice has sounded terrible for the last several months due to that. It's unfortunate since it's the best software of it's kind.
