Windows 10: XBox Install x80073d0d.... This is whacked the you know what out

XBox Game Pass lets me choose which drive to install game to. HOWEVER, I keep getting the error code. After some research I found that one might need to change were "New Content" is stored. So I went to Settings/System/Storage/Change where new content is saved/New apps will save to: AND CHANGED FROM C: default TO D: that I had selected in Game Box install and lo and behold it installed.****? Bozo development and UX here for sure.

I understand that some steps ae done to try to resolve this issue and that you have tried downloading the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog. For us to help you in resolving this issue, may we ask you to do the following?

• Unplug the XBOX cable from the computer.
• Restart your computer.
• Plug in the XBOX cable and check if it will try to install the adapter.

If the above step won't work, I suggest you to follow the suggestions by

To address your concern, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox 360 controller driver. To do that, follow these steps:

• Go to the Device Manager.
• In Device Manager locate Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows
  and right click it.
• Choose Uninstall.
  
• After the driver has been uninstalled, restart your computer. When your computer restarts, Windows 10 will automatically install the missing driver.
