Windows 10: Xbox one Controller causing PC to freeze

I have an Xbox one controller model 1708 that has been rendered unusable by a bug. Whenever I connect the controller either by cable or Bluetooth, my PC will begin to lag and freeze after 2-3 minutes of use. The lag will continue until I disconnect the controller, at which point my PC performance will return to normal. I have checked for driver updates and firmware updates for the controller, and everything is as up to date as possible. I am running windows 10 Version 1903, build 18362.449. I have been unable to find a solution to this issue anywhere, and have been able to see that I am not the only one having it. assistance is appreciated.

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Oblivion PC Xbox controller

Could someone suggest a way to use my xbox controller with the pc version of oblivion?

 

Still no fix for xbox one controller issue freezing the pc and beeping after 2 weeks!!!
