Windows 10: Xbox one controller flashing when plugged in on windows

My xbox one controller that I've plugged into my computer just keeps flashing. It gets recognized in device manager but there's a warning symbol next to it.I've tried to search this problem up but I can't find the solution.

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Xbox controller crashes on plugging in to Windows 10

Thank you for your response with the current status of the issue.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox 360 Controller in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Step 1: Go to
Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. Select the version of Windows 7 that matches the processor on your computer and try to download it.

Step 2: Then try to install the driver in compatibility mode. Check if it helps.

1. Right-click the Setup program and select Properties.

2. On the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox, and then select
Windows 7 from the dropdown list.

3. Select Apply, and then select OK.

4. Double-click the Setup program to run it. The Xbox 360 Accessories Setup program installs the necessary files on the computer. You might be prompted to restart the computer when finished.
