Windows 10: Xbox One Controller on PC "freezes" and needs replugged.

Alright, I found an old post on this, but sadly it's been locked, but reading through it many people were confused about what the controller was even being used on.

For starters, as the title suggests, I am using an Xbox one controller I purchased off of Amazon. I do not own an Xbox console, nor do I plan to get one. I use my controller for various games, the issue occurs in all of them, and even in programs that have controller support like the Microsoft Store, Insider Hub, Etc.

I can confirm the issue is not related to the controller itself, but rather the fact it's a real xbox peripheral.
Now to go over what happens..

First, when plugging the controller in, it does not play the sound that normally plays when devices are connected, likely due to being an officially supported peripheral.
The controller will freeze at entirely random intervals. It could be mere seconds after plugging the controller into my pc, or days later.
When the controller freezes, whatever inputs were last held are continued to be held. Say I press "A" at the same time that the controller freezes, "A" will continue to be held down, despite the button being released.
Unplugging the controller releases the inputs, and plugging it back in makes the controller usable again, but for the random amount of time stated above.

What I've done to try fix it:
I've tried using programs that emulate controller inputs to keyboard mappings - Issue still occurs
I've changed USB ports - Issue still occurs
I've checked for updates to the Xbox Input drivers, none were found - issue still occurs

No other devices suffer from this issue, not even my Logitech controller. The issue ONLY occurs with an Xbox Peripheral.
Anyone have a solution to stop this from happening? Xbox controllers are far less painful for me to use with my wrist injuries.

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Oblivion PC Xbox controller
